La Voix de l’Enfant is an association created in 1981 to defend children. Today, it is a federation of 82 member associations that operate in 80 countries. Daily, La Voix de l’Enfant fights to provide all children in distress with living conditions that respect their rights.
How can it help you?
Schooling and care
To guarantee access to education for every child, La Voix de l’Enfant and its partner associations provide children in need with financial support for their schooling, the supply of school materials, access to school care, and academic support.
Access to culture and sports
With its partners, La Voix de l’Enfant supports recreational and cultural activities for children with socio-educational difficulties. The association develops programs that allow children to practice sports, attend shows, visit museums, or other.
Reception and listening
The pediatric reception units for children at risk (UAPED) were created by La Voix de l’Enfant. These units are located in hospitals and take care of children who are victims of sexual violence and other forms of abuse.
Protection and defense
La Voix de l’Enfant provides legal support to child victims and acts as a civil party in cases where social services are not functioning correctly. The association also offers therapeutic care for child victims of sexual violence or other forms of abuse.
The association organizes a legal hotline every Wednesday afternoon from 2:30 to 6:00 pm to answer parents' and children's questions about visiting rights, educational measures pronounced by a children's judge, suspected abuse, etc.
Activities
- Advocacy: The association provides its expertise and opinion on draft laws or international texts relating to protecting minors who are victims of all forms of violence in France or the world
- Right to identity: La Voix de l’Enfant supports programs to establish civil status, train agents, and raise awareness among the population.
- Health: Organization of vaccination campaigns in schools
- Creation of Protected Confrontation Rooms (PCR).
- La Voix de l’Enfant runs multidisciplinary training modules for professionals working in the UAPEDs
- Creation of a 1st Age Kit for mothers living in precarious conditions
