Femmes Solidaires is a feminist, secular, and popular education movement created in 1945. This association's vocation is to push back all forms of discrimination and to develop a non-sexist and non-violent education. Furthermore, it informs and raises awareness about women's rights to contribute to the evolution of mentalities toward a society free from dominant relationships.

Activities

  • Femmes Solidaires engages in numerous international campaigns on the situation of women within the framework of reciprocal solidarity
  • The association has consultative status at the United Nations and is affiliated to the Inter-African Committee.
  • Femmes Solidaires is co-founder of the International Feminist and Secular Network.
  • Femme Solidaires has its own magazine, Clara-magazine, which informs the public on feminist and feminine news in France and the world.
  • Through Clara-magazine, the association organizes conferences and debates on these themes. In addition, it proposes educational exhibitions to inform about rights, promote non-sexist and non-violent education, prevent discriminatory behaviors, etc.
  • The editorial team intervenes with young people in schools and centers of animations to sensitize all age groups.
  • Creation of interviews, reports, short stories, and thematic files allowing a global point of view on the equality between women and men in France and the world.
